“Cycloville Kenya was formed in November 2012. The word Cycloville was created from the words Cycling Village. The enterprise was formed with the aim of uniting cyclists in Kenya and making cycling equipment and information easily accessible to anyone interested in cycling as a sport, recreation activity, exercise, income generating activity or commuting purposes. Cycloville Kenya, aims to endorse cycling as a culture, a clean, healthy and inexpensive alternative means of transport and a professional sport and business in Kenya through education, advocacy, collaboration and cooperation with other businesses, NGO’s clubs, groups and other stakeholders in the cycling industry through projects and events like the bicycle Enterprise development Programme, The Cycloville Annual. Cycloville.co.ke is a virtual cycling village for Cycloville Kenya which also acts as an online shop where cyclists or cycle shops can buy or sell their products.”
"Sakshyam Foundation is a grassroots non profit organization that works to establish greater access to education and supportive programming for people with disabilities in Nepal. Through education, art, media, skill development and entrepreneurship programs we aim to foster greater independence and dignity for children and adults with disabilities both in Kathmandu and in the most remote villages of Nepal. Our current project, Educational Support for Children with Disabilities, begins with workshops to gather local input, encourage engagement and teacher trainings to create tailored programs for the students. More than half of the founding members of our foundation and work team are from the disability community."
"New Immigrant and Refugee Visions (NIRV) is a messaging project designed to inform US public opinion about the experience of new immigrants and refugees. NIRV will train new immigrants and refugees to produce a series of short non-fiction films that will amplify their stories and perspectives. In the current climate of anti-immigrant sentiment among some US communities, this initiative will produce narratives that focus on the integration challenges faced by immigrants and the contributions they make to our culture, economy and social fabric. Their narratives will be used by organizations nation-wide to stimulate conversations that advance systemic change."
